Busy Proud Mom

I have been erratically busy lately.  I am juggling work, doing thesis in graduate school, attending seminar for my real estate passion and on top of that are doing my duties as a mom and wife, not to mention real estate clients who tests my patience sometimes:-).   Pretty hectic right?

Yes, I'm juggling lots of tasks because time allows it and I need to accomplish all of these.  I hope I can hurdle everything and accomplish my goals so that I can slow down with my schedule and hopefully focus more with my little one who at her age, really needs  my attention.

Aside from that, I want to give more attention with my real estate site that focuses on selling low cost houses, middle cost houses, high end houses in different subdivisions in Davao City, including rentals and assume of properties.

I'm hoping everything will be accomplished as planned, in God's grace and divine providence.

Flooring Ideas For My House

Its been years now since we have been staying in my parents house. My house is very far from where I work, and ever since baby girl was born we stayed in my parents house since its way nearer compared to my house which will take 1 hour ride to work. Aside from that I feel at ease when it's my mom and dad who is looking after my baby girl. I really don't trust leaving my child in the hands of a nanny.

Last week since we have no work, me and hubby visited our house, and we noticed a dirt piled up on our floor mat (we decided to put a floor mat on our house since it's easy to install). When we took a closer look it wasn't just dirt, it was ants, and the floor was moist. (This has happened before even if when we are still staying in the house). So me and hubby decided to ditch the floor mat.

Now we are trying to decide which flooring ideas would be best to replace our floor mat, hubby want to replace it with tiles while I want to use vinyl for the flooring. He wants to replace it with tiles since for him its clean to look, it is much durable compared to vinyl and because tile are cold and hubby likes to lie down on the floor especially when it's cold. However, having tiles cost very much, so my pick would be the vinyl as far as money is concerned. Although vinyl is not that durable compared to a tile, but still I think its much better compared to our rubber floor mat, and besides that, me and hubby can install the vinyl ourselves compare to a tile in which we will be force to hire labor for it to be installed.

Laundry Time is Bonding Time

Yesterday, one of our house helpers went to their home so nobody does the laundry anymore. So to ease up MIL's work load, hubby and me decided to do laundry of our clothes and office uniforms during the evening, after our work.

Last night, the three of us - me, hubby, and Keona did the laundry and at the same time, had our evening bath. While me and hubby were busy doing the laundry, our little girl had also fun playing on the water, chasing all the bubbles she can get out of the laundry. Our household chores may have been added during the evening but it's also a great time for us to bond together since we don't have time to be with each other during morning because we always rush going to work. So our laundry time in the evening becomes our bonding time. I love it because we really do have fun:).

Family Day at Garden by the Bay

Today, we have a lunch at Garden by the bay courtesy of grandpa. He treat us with a sumptuous lunch consisting of deep fried pork belly, kinilaw, Mongolian spare ribs and fried rice. Keona had a great time roaming around the place. She watched the bird flying and tweeting around the trees.

She looked into the fishes placed inside the aquarium and looked at the kids swimming and having fun at the pool. After our lunch, Keona and hubby dipped themselves at the pool and the little girl was really having fun. We had a hard time convincing her to get out from the water when it was time going home.

Pre-bedtime Routine

Keona follows a certain routine everyday. She wakes up in the morning->take her breakfast->shower time->play->eat lunch->afternoon sleep->afternoon snacks->play->supper->play again->shower-> get back to her dreamland. This is her usual routine except on certain occasions that we go out and stroll or go to mall or grannies would bring her to where ever they'll go, sometimes to the bank, to the supermarket, etc.

I like it when it's time for hubby and Keona to take their shower before bedtime. I can go online while the two of them play in the bathroom. Last night, while, the two of them were on their usual playing inside the bathroom, hubby called me up. I went to check on them and they were having a good time. Hubby signaled that I get a camera and took a photo of the little girl. I just did as instructed and here are the photos I took...

Election Day is family day

It's election day, so there's no work. We went to our polling precincts at around 10 o'clock in the morning. We brought with us our lil girl for Grandpa suggested that we'll eat out after we'll have casted our vote. The precinct is so full since several precincts were fused into one due to the computerization. Only grandpa was able to vote right away because he's already 60 years old. The perks of a senior citizen:). The priority numbers being served are still in 102 and we were 220 and up, so we decided to take our lunch first or else we'll starve waiting for our turn to vote.

We went to Maryknoll resort and had our lunch there. Grandpa ordered kinilaw (hubby's fave), Mongolian spare ribs, lechon kawali, chicken barbecue. We tried to have lil girl walk through the sand but it's not that very clean so we decided to let her try in the swimming pool. There, she enjoyed very much. Too bad, we were not able to bring our camera for documentation:). We'll try to visit again the place next time since it's just near to us. The election day turned out to be a fun family day for us. After that, we go back to our polling precincts and vote.
