A Treat from a Friend

Last Friday, one of our colleagues invited us for a lunch so we headed to Tita D's, a buffet restaurant here in the city. It's a lunch break so many diners are already there when we arrived. We took only very few photos because taking photos is actually forbidden and we just took photos of ourselves.

The array of foods serve on that day was delectable. I especially love the fish filllet, kinilaw, mussels and cassava cake for dessert.

Here's a photo of us...

I Love Balloon!

Keona loves balloons very much. Whenever we'll go to a party and there are balloons, we always ask for one to bring home. When we were strolling at the newly opened Abreeza mall, there are lots of balloons and she had fun playing and touching them.

Have a nice day folks:).

Happy Weekend

It's weekend once again. Me and hubby are scheduled to go to our rented house and collect the rental fee. I'm also planning to clean our room and de-clutter our closet. It's been a while since I have made a general cleaning of our closet because when I don't have work I usually spend my time playing with Keona.

Have a great weekend friends:)

Pre-bedtime Routine

Keona follows a certain routine everyday. She wakes up in the morning->take her breakfast->shower time->play->eat lunch->afternoon sleep->afternoon snacks->play->supper->play again->shower-> get back to her dreamland. This is her usual routine except on certain occasions that we go out and stroll or go to mall or grannies would bring her to where ever they'll go, sometimes to the bank, to the supermarket, etc.

I like it when it's time for hubby and Keona to take their shower before bedtime. I can go online while the two of them play in the bathroom. Last night, while, the two of them were on their usual playing inside the bathroom, hubby called me up. I went to check on them and they were having a good time. Hubby signaled that I get a camera and took a photo of the little girl. I just did as instructed and here are the photos I took...

Kids Party or Buffet?

Next month, Keona will turn two. As early as now, me and hubby are already planning for her birthday celebration. We are thinking of either holding a kids party or just a buffet.

We have already inquired about kids party in a Jollibee and it's a little expensive compared with just a buffet. If we'll have kid's party, lil girl will surely enjoy it but the food will be limited to just the lauriat or the composition of foods that we are going to choose. If we'll have a buffet, it's less expensive and the adults will really have a full stomach since it is a buffet.

We are still weighing things up and determine which way to go.

Future Nurse or Doctor?

Lil girl plays a lot lately. She loves to toss the ball and chase it. When she's in the room, she would line up her stuffed toys. She would make them her patients and give them medicine or vitamins using her droppers. We are really amused looking at her. She would say "1.5 vitamins" and feed it to the toy she wants. She knows her vitamins dosage!

Mica's First Birthday

Twirlie

A pose with Jollibbee

1st birthday cake for Mica

Mica and her Mom

This post is a delayed one because I am not much active in the blogging world lately due to my vision problems. Finally, I was able to get my new eyeglasses during lunch break today so I'm back to my blog hopping and blogging.

Baby Mica's birthday was last Saturday. It was held at Jollibbee Bolton. We arrived there earlier than the schedule so we were kinda bored waiting for the party to start. Lil girl together with grandma and Grandpa arrived a little late. Mica had many visitors. There were around 60 adults and 20 children who attended the party. Adults were served chicken meal while the children were served spaghetti.

The visitors were having so much fun. Before the eating time, parlor games were played. There were parlor games played by the children and there were separate set of games for the not-so-young and young-at-heart.

So much excitement were felt by the party goers after the meal. Two mascots - Jollibbe and Twirlie entertained us through dancing. Children became very unruly wanting to get the attention of the two mascots and many want to get a picture with them.

Here are some photos...

Lil Fashionista

As I have mentioned in my earlier post, me and Keona went along with hubby yesterday in the mall. We went to the children wear department and look for clothes for our lil girl. When we arrived there, she chose clothes like a pro and kept on saying "wow ganda!" (wow, beautiful!). We were really enjoying to see her select and collect clothes that she wants.

Finally back in the blogging world

beautiful white island at Camiguin

I was detached from my blogging for one week since I had my spiritual retreat and summer escapade last week and just arrived yesterday evening. The 9-hour travel via land and sea from Camiguin island going back to Davao city really drained my energy and so I just slept and marvel how my pretty lil girl grow up so fast in the seven days that we are not together. I don't report for work today. The intermix of rain showers and sun that kept us company in our escapade at Camiguin island makes me feel like having flu. Happy start of the week friends:).

Having fun with Jollibee and Hetty

Here we are with Jollibee

Keona trying to kiss Jollibee

Last weekend, the whole family dined at Pizza Hut, Gaisano mall because it was Lady's birthday, my sis-in-law. When we were finished eating pizza, we went outside and watch the merry-go-round and other rides in front of pizza hut. We noticed a commotion at a nearby Jollibee so we looked into it and found out that the kids are having fun with the Jollibee mascot who was dancing and teasing with them. Keona wanted also to go closer with Jollibee so we went there. After a few minutes, another mascot got out, it was Hetty. Keona enjoyed seeing them and we took pictures with them.

Importance of Having a Car

Having a car is a big help to me and my husband, since we live far from the downtown area. Our daughter has been very sickly because she has a reflux and whenever there's an emergency and we need to go to the hospital, it's just easy for us even if it's middle of the night. Taking a public utility vehicle takes an hour or more when there's traffic to reach to downtown. Looking for a taxi on the other hand is far more worse since taxi rarely go to our neighborhood. So the best solution is to have our own transportation.

Although we already have a car, I really like owning one, may be a honda accord, since me and hubby have different routes for work. I like it since it has an elegant look, perfect for a woman like me. But my hubby usually teases me when I talk of having one because if ever I would have car problems, I would have trouble knowing what the problem is. I don't even know what a spark plug or a timing belt is. My friend Joey, in San Francisco would chat to me about cars and said that it would require a lot of responsibility when you own one. He told me that whenever he would take his car to a San Francisco auto repair shop, he must also be knowledgeable of the parts of the car. Aside from that, he must also know the price of the parts so that he wouldn't be overpriced by the mechanic. Well, the convenience of having a car is indeed coupled with responsibility.

Hubby's new shoes

Last Friday, hubby returned home looking tired and somewhat problematic. You know, as a wife I have a way of knowing if hubby doesn't feel good or if there's something that's bothering him. So I asked him, " how was your day at work?". 'It's OK,"he answered then go on and smiled telling me "I'm really unfortunate today". So I queried why? He then showed me his pants in which the lower portion has this smelly wet mud and his shoe foot bed was broken.

He was in a queue waiting for his turn to withdraw cash at an automatic teller machine along Bolton Street. The place is dark at 7 in the evening. When he was about to get inside the booth, he accidentally fall into an open manhole. His right leg was soak in that smelly wet mud inside the manhole. He really pitied himself for what happened to him on that day. So I consoled him and assured him it's OK. We'll just buy a new shoes:). The following day, we went to SM Mall and bought a new pair of his office shoes.

Perfect Gift for Baby Michaela's Baptism

Last weekend, we got an invitation from Troy. It's Michaela's baptism this coming 21st of February, 2010. Michaela, my niece, is the adorable daughter of proud parents, Troy and Therese, whose wedding we attended just recently. The baptismal ceremony will be held at Sta. Ana Shrine Parish at Sta. Ana Avenue, the church where me and hubby had our wedding two years ago. There will be a dinner which will be held in the house of Troy and Therese after the baptismal ceremony.

So, last Saturday, when me and hubby was buying Keona's milk and hubby's shoes, we also look for baptism gift that we could give to baby Michaela. We went to the toys area and all we can get are rattles and puzzles and some of them are not even age-appropriate for baby Michaela. We also went to the baby's clothes department but we have a difficulty deciding on what to buy. We want to give Michaela a unique baby gift that's also meaningful because baptism comes only once in a lifetime, right? And besides, Michaela is very dear and special to us. Baby Michaela has many toys already and has an abundant array of beautiful baby clothes since she is the only granddaughter on her mother's side. Attention is focused on her. We went home without being able to buy a gift for Michaela. We just agreed to buy it this week since we still have days left before the scheduled baptismal Christening.

When we reached home, I tried to search on the net and I found a great site for baby gifts. They have a lot of gifts to choose from and these items are beautifully handcrafted. They have decorative wall crosses that are really fit and appropriate for a gift during baptismal Christening. It's just perfect for baby Michaela. To our dear Mika, welcome to the Christian world soon. Uncle Raynan, little Keona and me are looking forward to your baptism.
