Free Lunch Buffet

I am the oldest left in my area of work. One colleague got married and had to resign. Another one was transferred due to qualification issue. The newly hired companion of mine got her first salary last week and promised us to treat with a lunch buffet so we had it yesterday. We headed to Tita D's, one of the cheapest buffet in town and so far, has the most number of yummy foods. We arrived there at around 11:30 in the morning and there were already few diners. We right away looked into the food display and they're indeed yummy.

There were fried shrimps, chicken which I did not get to prevent having my allergy. They has also pork adobo, shells, chop seuy , lumpia shanghai and appetizers like kinilaw, eggplant salad and seaweeds salad.

Although we were already very full, we still tasted the sweet desserts like cassava cake, buko pandan cake and maja blanca. I brought with me a point and shoot camera but to my dismay, I can't preview it when I took photos so I didn't take photos anymore. Too bad. When I reached home, I complained hubby about the camera and he just laughed at me because I did not press the display button so I can preview the object I want to take photos of. Well, I admit, I'm really not techie and that's the result of being too dependent to hubby when it comes to gadgets and new technology:(.

Happy Birthday Therese

Last night, we went to Troy and Therese house for dinner because it's Therese' 22nd birthday. Lil girl was very happy upon seeing her cousin Mica when we arrived there. Lil Mica was able to wake up from her sleep when Keona shouted "Mica, yeheeyyy!".

I love the food they served. The indispensable pancit is deliciously cooked. The pork liempo is crispy and lots of lean meat, not fats. I love the fact that there's the condiment "pinakurat" which really made me eat a lot. It's a very good dip with the pork liempo and I miss it a lot. For those who don't know about pinakurat, it's a brand of a vinegar mixed with spices like garlic, onions, hot chili pepper. It's usually used as a dip for lechon(roasted pig), grilled meat or fish.

Keona loves the toys of Baby Mica and the two of them played a lot. They look good together playing and they really had fun since they seldom see each other.

Weekend stroll in the neigborhood

Saturday afternoon are usually spent at the mall or walking around the neighborhood. Aside from being able to bond with each other little girl learns also because she's able to see real life animals like pigs, cows, chicken, goats and dogs. It's a great learning experience for Keona and also an opportunity for us to sweat out and get fit. Happy Weekend everyone.

Baby Mica's Christening Reception

After the baptismal ceremony at the Sta. Ana church, we went to their house and had a lunch. They had the food catered for the celebration of Mica's Christening. The foods were yummy. There were four main dishes - beef afritada, pork adobo, pancit, and chicken lenchon. There's also the indispensable roasted pig ( lechon). Desserts consist of rice cake, melon fruit, durian tart and fruit salad. We also brought with us chocolate rebel bars that Mom baked for Mica.
