Happy Birthday Therese

Last night, we went to Troy and Therese house for dinner because it's Therese' 22nd birthday. Lil girl was very happy upon seeing her cousin Mica when we arrived there. Lil Mica was able to wake up from her sleep when Keona shouted "Mica, yeheeyyy!".

I love the food they served. The indispensable pancit is deliciously cooked. The pork liempo is crispy and lots of lean meat, not fats. I love the fact that there's the condiment "pinakurat" which really made me eat a lot. It's a very good dip with the pork liempo and I miss it a lot. For those who don't know about pinakurat, it's a brand of a vinegar mixed with spices like garlic, onions, hot chili pepper. It's usually used as a dip for lechon(roasted pig), grilled meat or fish.

Keona loves the toys of Baby Mica and the two of them played a lot. They look good together playing and they really had fun since they seldom see each other.

Happy Mother's Day

Here's a warm greetings to all the mother's out there! Motherhood is one of the best things that happen to a woman's life. Not all wives are blessed to become a mother.

To celebrate mother's day, hubby bought a cake for me from Goldilocks. For a simple celebration, we have roasted chicken and pork liempo for dinner. Have a beautiful Sunday evening friends and continue to be a blessing to everyone:).

Baby Mica's Christening Reception

After the baptismal ceremony at the Sta. Ana church, we went to their house and had a lunch. They had the food catered for the celebration of Mica's Christening. The foods were yummy. There were four main dishes - beef afritada, pork adobo, pancit, and chicken lenchon. There's also the indispensable roasted pig ( lechon). Desserts consist of rice cake, melon fruit, durian tart and fruit salad. We also brought with us chocolate rebel bars that Mom baked for Mica.

It's Payday

Yeheeyyy! It's payday today. Time to pay the bills and do some groceries. Due to the high prices of commodities these days, I see to it that I have a list on what I have to buy whenever I go to the mall. I only buy what I needed and just save on for the things that I want but not really my priorities. What's on my list? Here it is...

  • Nan HW 3 milk for Keona
  • Cetaphil Shampoo - for Keona
  • Bath Soap - any brand with a low price as long as it smells good.hehe
  • Biscuits - for Keona, me and hubby. We used to buy junk foods but when me and hubby heard (from Keona's nephrologist - kidney disease specialist) about how pricey it is to have a kidney transplant, we told each other to really take care of our "filters". So no more junkfoods and too salty foods.
  • Shampoo - hubby wants Gard because of some flakes.
  • Pork - ribs and tenderloin, veggies, spices, condiments
  • Fruits
  • Aqua soft solution - for my contact lens
