Miserable

Today I feel miserable. I don't wear my contact lens because I felt it's doesn't help anymore and it's giving me more trouble than help. The result? Misery! I have a hard time riding a public vehicle because I can hardly see. My vision is blurred and I can't read the signboard of their route. It's very stressful and my friends have mistaken me as "super strict" because I don't return their smiles. They do not know that I don't recognize them even in a closer distance. I'll have my eyeglasses on the 15th, my birthday. That's my gift for myself. Oh, I'm turning a year older but I'm thankful for the gift of life and I always embrace my "youth". "winks"

Have a great day friends:).

I need a New Eye Aid

My contact lens needs an upgrade/replacement. I'm becoming uncomfortable wearing my contact lens and I finally decided to go back with wearing eye glasses.

With eyeglasses, I just can take it anytime I want without worrying of being scratched. I don't have to worry also when I'm in a dusty place. I can wear it all the time I want it without worrying of my cornea not able to breath.

I have scouted already for a frame that would fit into my face shape and definitely I'd choose an eyeglass lens that's multi-coated. It's already anti-glare and doesn't have much reflection.

Happy start of the week friends.

Our camera crushed!

Hubby took a number of photos during Troy's wedding ceremony at St. Joseph church and at Davao Insular hotel, the wedding's reception. We were very excited to see the photos when we get home at quarter to eight last night. Hubby was about to transfer the photos to the PC when he found out that he can't view it! When he turned on the camera, an error appeared regarding the lens. Whew! We were really disgusted! I asked hubby about what is the possible cause of it and if there are possible ways for him to get it fixed. He searched for the manual and I accidentally bumped him our room door because I was hurriedly removing my contact lenses for it was getting dry and I was really not comfortable of it and tension raged. We did not talk with each other for a while.

He watch TV in the living room and I fixed myself, removed my make up then put Keona to bed. Two or 3 hours have passed and yet Keona did not sleep. She was still in a "playing mood" and in high spirit. And suddenly she shouted loudly calling "Pappa" several times which prompted hubby to get inside the room and get her out. They stayed in the living room seeing and singing her nursery rhymes on DVD. When finally lil girl's enthusiasm wears out and she becomes really sleepy, she called me up. Hubby had no choice but to give Keona to me who doesn't sleep without being breastfeed. This time, he is already calm and me too. I was already sleepy and then the topic regarding the camera is now brought up again. He told me that we should get it fixed because I need it for my blogs and of course for our souvenirs. I retorted to him saying I'm not the only one who needs it. He needs it too. I told him, what about his world-less Wednesday on his All About Keona. He smiled and readily agreed that we both need it. He volunteered to look for a service center for Canon camera. I said if the repair is more than Two Thousand Pesos, we better buy a new one. Hopefully, the cam will be repaired and we'll have the photos of Troy's wedding! Can't wait to see it:)

It's Payday

Yeheeyyy! It's payday today. Time to pay the bills and do some groceries. Due to the high prices of commodities these days, I see to it that I have a list on what I have to buy whenever I go to the mall. I only buy what I needed and just save on for the things that I want but not really my priorities. What's on my list? Here it is...

  • Nan HW 3 milk for Keona
  • Cetaphil Shampoo - for Keona
  • Bath Soap - any brand with a low price as long as it smells good.hehe
  • Biscuits - for Keona, me and hubby. We used to buy junk foods but when me and hubby heard (from Keona's nephrologist - kidney disease specialist) about how pricey it is to have a kidney transplant, we told each other to really take care of our "filters". So no more junkfoods and too salty foods.
  • Shampoo - hubby wants Gard because of some flakes.
  • Pork - ribs and tenderloin, veggies, spices, condiments
  • Fruits
  • Aqua soft solution - for my contact lens

Contact lenses or Eyglasses?

I'm currently wearing contact lenses for I want to look younger.LOL. I used to wear eyeglasses but when it was time to upgrade, I shifted to contact lenses, around two years ago. That was when our wedding was approaching. I didn't like to wear eyeglasses during the wedding ceremony. I wanted to look really beautiful without those eyeglasses. Usually, my contact lense lifespan is one year, so that means I need to change my contact lense again soon . But I'm having a second thought of buying a new one. I'm becoming lazy in putting on my contact lenses whenever I'm home. I only wear it whenever I go for work or go out to my daughter's pedia for check - up or go to the grocery store. And my dilemma comes in when my daughter wants me to sing her nursery songs on videoke at home. I cannot read those letters on TV even in a distance of about 6 - 8 meters! I have not yet memorized all 50 songs in her CD.

I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons between wearing contact lenses and eyeglasses:

Advantages of wearing contact lenses

->Contacts dont fog up during rain
->I look better and younger with contact lenses

Disadvantages:
->It requires more time for maintenance
->I should adhere to my wearing schedules
->The expenses for the contact lens solution

Advantages of glasses:

->Glasses offer eye protection whenever I'm in places in which debris and fumes may be an issue.
->Any time that I'm in a hazardous environment that needs eye protection, glasses come in handy.
->Easy to wear

Disadvantages:

->The frames of glasses block my peripheral vision
->It becomes foggy during the rain
->Makes me look older

So now I already have these pros and cons but I'm still confused and can't decide yet. Contact lenses or eyeglasses? What can you say?
