I Dreaded Fever

I got a call from Mom last Thursday informing me that Keona was having fever. I was literally down and could not concentrate on my work. I called Doc Mike, Keona's pediatrician and he advised me to have Keona take paracetamol every four hours. Since Keona was also vomiting Doc Mike told me to have her drink Vometa (Domperedone) - 2.5 ml. every four hours.

Keona's pediatrician told me that it might just be a viral thing. We just have to observe her and if fever continues the following day, we have to bring her to the clinic and do some laboratory tests.

Keona's fever continued to go down until it reached to normal level. Thankfully, it did not return and I was really relieved.

Singing and Shouting

Keona's is like having a concert.LOLz. She sings her nursery rhymes with gusto complete with actions and facial expressions. Hubby keeps on laughing while little girl is performing in front of him. Lil Keona can now pronounce some words she doesn't know how to speak before. Have a great day friends.

Happy Start of the Week

It's a beautiful Monday and I'm back to work again. I don't feel very good today. My pharyngitis is getting worse so I'm taking antibiotics now. Good thing I don't have to talk a lot anymore at work because I finished the orientation last week. Have a great day friends:)

Performing Healing?

Last Friday, I got a call from mom that they are bringing with them lil Keona to St. Paul Church. They are attending the mass and healing performed by Fr. Bong Osorio. When I reached home from work, Mom told me what happened in the church.

When they were attending the mass, lil girl was restless. She roamed around and chased every child she saw and she would say "hi" to them. She also kept on saying hi to the oldies people whom Mom surmised were members of lectors, church facilitators. She then had herself carried by a Spanish woman and refused to go back to her babysitter Rose who was with them.

After the mass, the healing was performed. They were in a queue of two hundred plus people and when the priest performed a healing on Mom, she was in slain. So when it was Papa's turn he gave lil girl to Rose but Keona refused. Fr. Bong got Keona and he used her hand in his healing. He held her left arms and extend it to people asking for healing and it was Keona's hands that touched the heads of the people. There were about 7 people that Keona performed a healing on. It was a great experience for Grandpa that he became teary-eyed seeing Keona in that moment. Amazing.

Dethroned from my Computer Seat

Hubby and me had a good laugh last night. I was blogging while hubby and Keona were just lying on the bed watching TV. Suddenly, lil girl lost her interest in watching TV and wanted to watch her fave song in the computer. I just let her see the video with the song "Somewhere out There" hoping she'll just also lose interest in it in few minutes of singing and swaying so I can go back blogging.

She then requested me to sing with her and let the " Micky Mouse" dance while I sing. Since I still have pharyngitis, I did not sing. Keona insisted that I sing and when she was not able to force me, she let me out of my seat and dragged hubby to sing with her instead of me. Hubby and me burst out to laughter and lil girl succeeded in dethroning me from my computer seat.

Pharyngitis

I'm having pharyngitis again. Sigh. I have a hard time swallowing and it's painful even when I'm just talking. Since this is just starting, I mix salt with lukewarm water and gargle it in the morning and in the evening. I hope this will cease with this home-remedy because I hate taking antibiotics. Aside from being pricey, I don't like taking those huge tablets!

Great Weekend

It's a lovely weekend and we just all sleep and rest to re-energize ourselves for the coming week. Keona, me and hubby feasted on mangosteen and lanzones that I bought yesterday.

Happy weekend everyone:).

Still dizzy

I don't have enough sleep and I still feel dizzy. Lil girl woke up at two o'clock in the morning and wanted to go to the living room to watch her fave songs. I protested but she cried out very loud. I had no choice but to give in or else, people around will wake up as well.

I know Lil girl is uncomfortable with her having stuffy nose and occasional cough. She still have them in spite of the medicines she's taking. So I just carry her in my arms, swing her so she was able to go back to sleep at four in the morning. Hope everything goes back to normal.

Urine Culture for the third Time

It's time again for Keona's quarterly monitoring through urine culture. This is the third time that she has urine culture after her operation and the first urine CS that she's not been taking antibiotic. I got the result yesterday and was very thankful to God that there was no bacteria for the third consecutive time.

We will wait again for another 3 months and we'll have urine SC again plus the renal scan which will determine the functionality of her kidneys. I hope and pray that everything will turn out okay.

We had a check-up yesterday and as usual, she's afraid to get inside the elevator. I can't use the stairs because her doctor's clinic is on the 8th floor. Currently, Keona is having cough and colds so I make her drink ambroxol (Ambrolex) for her cough and Disudrin for her colds as prescribed by her pediatrician. I'm praying also for her fast recovery because her appetite is affected although she remains enthusiastic and playful.

Have a great start of the week friends. Take good care everyone:).

Happy Birthday Therese

Last night, we went to Troy and Therese house for dinner because it's Therese' 22nd birthday. Lil girl was very happy upon seeing her cousin Mica when we arrived there. Lil Mica was able to wake up from her sleep when Keona shouted "Mica, yeheeyyy!".

I love the food they served. The indispensable pancit is deliciously cooked. The pork liempo is crispy and lots of lean meat, not fats. I love the fact that there's the condiment "pinakurat" which really made me eat a lot. It's a very good dip with the pork liempo and I miss it a lot. For those who don't know about pinakurat, it's a brand of a vinegar mixed with spices like garlic, onions, hot chili pepper. It's usually used as a dip for lechon(roasted pig), grilled meat or fish.

Keona loves the toys of Baby Mica and the two of them played a lot. They look good together playing and they really had fun since they seldom see each other.
