Family Day at Garden by the Bay

Today, we have a lunch at Garden by the bay courtesy of grandpa. He treat us with a sumptuous lunch consisting of deep fried pork belly, kinilaw, Mongolian spare ribs and fried rice. Keona had a great time roaming around the place. She watched the bird flying and tweeting around the trees.

She looked into the fishes placed inside the aquarium and looked at the kids swimming and having fun at the pool. After our lunch, Keona and hubby dipped themselves at the pool and the little girl was really having fun. We had a hard time convincing her to get out from the water when it was time going home.

Filing a Vacation Leave

No, I'm not going for a vacation but it's Mom and Dad who will and I cannot just entrust Keona all alone to the babysitter so I'll be out at work for one week to take care of her. I already filed a vacation leave and thanks to my ever good boss, he approved it without any question:).

I love to be at home but sometimes I also get bored doing nothing so I'm gonna watch movies next week and have to stock a lot of foods because eating is my great passion when I'm at home lazing around, just playing and watching Keona playing around the house.

Shifting to a New Milk

I have recently shifted Keona's milk to something that is cheaper compared to her previous milk but the quality is still good. According to her pediatrician, she can have any milk as long as she's not having an allergy on it because milk is just a supplement anyways. Her main food is rice and viand now that she's bigger.

So when I shifted to the new brand, I kept on monitoring her poop. If she's not constipated or if it's not too wet because that's one of our problems when she was still an infant. We kept on switching from one brand to another until we settled to the one which did not make her constipated. She's very sensitive so I'm watching out.

Another reason why I shifted is austerity. I want to save something for Keona's future. In this times of frequent rising of commodity prices, not to mention skyrocketing price of education, I need to prepare for her future. Happy midweek friends!

Tatay Hilot

Keona's temperature was in borderline again the other day and I was really sad. I didn't like the idea of giving her medicine again once her temperature goes up. Her body was kinda hot but her feet was cold.

So yesterday, gannies brought her to Tatay Hilot, the term we used referring to the old man who gives her a massage if we suspect that she needs it.

Thankfully, her temperature is back to normal. I dreaded fever because of the continuing threat of dengue.

Have a great day friends!

Too Yummy to Resist

When Keona saw the house helper opening the fridge yesterday, she right away ran towards her and looked what was inside. When she saw the box containing the chocolate rebel bars she right away got one sliced and popped it on her mouth.

I was not able to do anything to protest her but just looked the way how she ate the chocolate with gusto. The result? She's scratching here and there because her allergy is back. At least, I now know that it's really an allergy so it will not be mistaken as skin disease like what I used to think it is.

Happy Anniversary to Troy and Therese

Today is the 1st year wedding anniversary of Troy and Therese. Mom sleep late last night because Troy requested her to make his favorite chocolate rebel bars. The kitchen was so aromatic and I would have wanted to eat but I really have to discipline myself because chocolate is one of the many yummy restrictions of Keona's pediatrician.

Have a great Friday friends!

Rest

That's what I intend to do this weekend. I deserve a break after a very hectic week at work and not-so-restful nights giving medications to Keona.

We'll gonna visit also our house in Mintal after 2 months. We'll see our renters and of course get the rent. It is budgeted as a pay for Keona's baby sitter:). Have a great weekend friends!

Fashionable Scrub Suit

I used to wear scrub suit. I like it because it's very comfortable. Yes, I'm used to wearing fit blouses and jeans because I'm slim but when hubby showed me his medical scrubs, I told him I want one for myself. So being a beloved wife, he went to a scrub store and bought one for me.
Wonder why hubby wears scrub suit when he is an engineer? This is a confession. Hubby is a graduate of Bachelor of Nursing. He used to study nursing during the night and on weekends while working as an engineer during the day. He graduated nursing but did not pursue his career shift due to nursing slowdown nowadays. He also realizes it's never easy being a nurse especially rendering duty in graveyard shift. When he was still a nursing student, he would have his duty in the delivery room, operating room, ward and other departments so he had many nursing uniform scrub for him to just easily change anytime he wants if his scrub becomes dirty.

Keona's Fever Goes Back

I got a call from Mom today that Keona's fever is back. It shoot up top 39.1 degree celsius. I called her pediatrician and he advised me to have her take antibiotic. Cefaclor 250 mg / 5 ml and a dosage of 2.5 , 3x/day.

I hope her fever will be gone soon. I can't be out from work because we are expecting a visitor and I'm expecting to be interviewed. I wish I can just stay home and take good care of her.

Not Feeling Good

I have been sick lately.stuffy nose and itchy throat kept me company since yesterday. I got an aching head so i took my paracetamol. I really don't like having all of these especially when there are plenty of demands at work.

Little girl had been sick as well. She has cough and colds. Too bad, she doesn't know how to spit out those phlegm when she coughs. at least, she knows how to blow her nose. I'm happy her fever is already gone. I hope all these will be gone soon.

Pediatrician Visit due to Rashes

We visited doc Mike yesterday because Keona has rashes. It's been about 2 weeks already that she has it and I have been putting self medication on it. I have observed it does not improve and instead spread on her body so before we'll gonna go back to work, we decided to have her checked by her pediatrician.

My instinct were indeed true. She is indeed a food allergy like me. So Doc Mike prohibited her from eating chicken, egg, chocolate, shrimp, crab, and all kinds of nuts. We eat a lot of this especially during the Christmas season. We have a stock of chocolates also as well as peanuts and now I'm keeping all of them so she'll not eat them.

Doctor Mike prescribed antihistamine medicines- allerkid, one times a day before bedtime-2.5 ml. and iterax 3x/day 2.5 ml.

After the check up and shedding so many tears (she cries a lot every time we go to Doc Mike's clinic), we brought her to children's play area in the mall. There were very few people so we like it very much. Not much crowd and we can just hop from one ride to another anytime we want.
